High-Level Financial Leadership in Retail Sector

We are seeking a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) to lead our financial operations and drive strategic decision-making across two retail companies.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the financial health of the business, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing strategic guidance. They will oversee all aspects of financial reporting and control while leading a team of accountants and collaborating closely with senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the full spectrum of financial functions for both entities
Prepare and review comprehensive financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to inform business decisions
Ensure adherence to tax regulations and conduct regular risk assessments to mitigate potential threats
Provide insightful financial analysis to support business growth initiatives
Oversee cash flow management, internal audits, and controls to maintain operational efficiency
Lead and mentor the finance team to enhance their skills and capabilities

Requirements:

Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) qualification
A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Financial Manager role, preferably in the retail industry
Excellent leadership and analytical skills to drive business growth and navigate complex financial scenarios
Strong proficiency in accounting software and financial systems
A strategic mindset with exceptional problem-solving abilities to stay ahead of industry trends
