    **General Manager Role at a Leading Organization in Zambia**

    We are seeking an experienced and skilled General Manager to lead our team in Zambia. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the company's strategic vision, ensuring effective leadership development, and overseeing financial management.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Measure the readiness of potential successors within the organization and evaluate the effectiveness of leadership development initiatives.
    • Use employee surveys or engagement scores to monitor progress and ensure a positive workplace culture.
    • Monitor and prevent the turnover rate of key talent to maintain a high-performing team.
    • Manage and control the daily use of the Palladium accounting system to optimize financial operations.
    • Develop and implement the company's financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
    • Oversee the annual budget and ensure timely preparation of monthly management accounts.
    • Provide strategic leadership by proposing a clear and ambitious long-term vision for the company and executing approved strategies.
    • Supervise all heads of department and assign work accordingly.
    • Authorise payments and purchases while maintaining strict controls.

    Required Skills and Qualifications:

    • Leadership and teamwork skills to motivate and engage staff.
    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills to drive results.
    • Strong financial skills, including budgeting and forecasting.

    Education and Experience:

    • Degree in Accountancy/Management or equivalent qualification.
    • ACCA certification or other relevant management qualifications.
    • A minimum of 10 years' relevant work experience, with a proven track record in leadership and finance.
