    Senior Back-End Developer

    About the Role:

    We are a leading marketing and brand tracking organization with international presence, seeking an experienced Senior Back-End Developer to join our team in Johannesburg.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Design and develop robust back-end components/services for large-scale systems while staying up-to-date with front-end technologies.
    • Collaborate with multiple teams to deliver high-quality projects on time.
    • Ensure efficient project completion, working iteratively to deliver regular software updates.
    • Maintain and upgrade the company's data infrastructure for optimal performance.
    • Participate in strategic discussions to shape the organization's product and technology direction.
    • Mentor and coach team members, sharing expertise and knowledge.
    • Stay current with the latest software development methods, tools, and techniques.

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience in building enterprise-standard applications and server-side applications.
    • Familiarity with Agile development processes, using Jira, Git, etc.
    • Proficiency in multiple software development languages.
    • Essential experience in Python programming.
    • Beneficial experience in Falcon, FastAPI, Bash/Shell Scripting, SQL (PostgreSQL), Kafka, AWS Cloud infrastructure, and Linux.
    • Background in market research, marketing industries, and survey/sampling data is advantageous.
