MethodHub Consulting Inc Job Description: We are seeking a highly qualified Professor/Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in Land Surveying to join our team in the School of Engineering. As a land surveyor with exceptional teaching and research skills, you will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses, developing independent research programs, supervising postgraduate students, and undertaking administrative duties.

The successful candidate will have a BSc(Eng) degree in Land Surveying / Geomatics or a closely related area, a PhD in a relevant topic, and a proven track record of excellence in teaching and research. They will also possess strong leadership and mentorship skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to contribute to the local Geomatics community.

Responsibilities:

1. Teach undergraduate courses in Geomatics
2. Develop and implement research programs
3. Supervise and mentor postgraduate students
4. Contribute to the development of curriculum and teaching materials
5. Participate in departmental and institutional service activities

Requirements:

• BSc(Eng) degree in Land Surveying / Geomatics or a closely related area
• PhD in a relevant Land Surveying / Geomatics topic
• Excellent teaching experience and leadership in curriculum development
• Sustained publication of independent research in quality scientific journals
• Leadership and mentorship skills

Working Conditions: This is a full-time position located in Durban, South Africa. The salary range is R 650,000 - R 1,200,000 per annum with a comprehensive benefits package.
