    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement business development strategies to expand our presence in the asset management market.

    We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Stanlib. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven professional with a passion for distribution, asset management research, and networking with top industry professionals.

    In this role, you will be responsible for driving growth through the development and implementation of business development strategies. You will engage with key industry players, including CIO-level executives, and expand our networks to achieve strategic goals.

    To succeed in this position, you will need to have a strong understanding of competitor strategies and market positioning, as well as the ability to connect with key stakeholders. Your expertise in asset management research and distribution will be critical in developing effective business development plans.

    You will also gain exposure to discretionary investments and multi-manager funds, providing valuable insights into the financial services and banking industry. If you have a strategic mindset, strong industry networks, and a passion for asset management, we would love to hear from you.

    Requirements:

    • 5-8 years of experience in a similar environment, with 2-3 years specifically in asset management.
    • Strong engagement skills with IFAs and investment professionals.
    • Deep understanding of competitor strategies and market positioning.
    • Ability to connect with key stakeholders, including CIO-level executives.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degrees and Advanced Diplomas (NQF Level 07) in Generic Management.

    Industry Exposure:

    • Developing and implementing business development strategies.
    • Driving asset management research & distribution efforts.
    • Engaging with key industry players and expanding our networks.
    • Gaining exposure to discretionary investments & multi-manager funds.
