    Automotive Parts Sector BI Developer Opportunity

    We are seeking a skilled Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our client's team in Centurion, specializing in the automotive parts sector.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Project management and coordination of BI initiatives
    • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and systems architecture
    • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including SQL databases
    • Taking ownership of BI projects from inception to completion
    • Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including SOPs
    • Applying company ISO policies related to data confidentiality and reporting
    • Understanding data requirements and specifying optimal database structures for reporting
    • Data warehousing and designing reports that meet business needs
    • Knowledge of current dataset portfolios and ability to update/improve data for various functions
    • Ensuring report relevance through continuous feedback and communication

    General and Task Management Skills:

    • Taking ownership of tasks until resolution and ensuring desired outcomes
    • Engaging with stakeholders to confirm task completion
    • Maintaining task lists and boards used to track progress
    • Consulting on issue items where necessary and participating in future planning discussions
    • Understanding infrastructure required for company systems and possessing basic knowledge of different databases
    • Learning skills required to accomplish tasks and contributing to project management

    Self-Management and Teamwork:

    • Supporting compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and quality/environmental procedures
    • Encouraging and supporting team members
    • Contribution to creating a positive team atmosphere and anticipating/overcoming obstacles
    • Achieving personal growth and embracing change with resilience and optimism
    • Displaying a collaborative approach, self-motivation, and a positive attitude

    Desired Experience and Qualifications:

    • Diploma/Degree in Information Systems or related field
    • Programming languages: Python, R, and expertise in MS SQL and NoSQL
    • BI Reporting experience, particularly with Power BI, and data warehouse design
    • Azure cloud computing, Azure Data Lake, and Database skills are advantageous
    • Familiarity with the Microsoft 365 suite

    Package and Remuneration:

    R30,000 per annum
