We are a leading chemical manufacturing company based in Durban and we are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team.

As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our chemical products to clients in various industries.

Responsibilities:

Actively seek out new sales opportunities and generate leads through market research, networking, and cold calling
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs and providing exceptional customer service
Prepare and deliver sales proposals, negotiate pricing and contracts, and close deals to meet sales targets
Stay uptodate with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for business growth
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement effective sales strategies, promotional campaigns, and product launches
Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts to the sales manager
Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and events to represent the company and expand the customer base

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Sales Representative in the chemical industry or related field
Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain longterm client relationships.
Selfmotivated and targetoriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
A bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is advantageous
