  • Efficient management of stock (Storage, security, movements) and Storemen in the Raw Materials Warehouse, in
accordance with GMP & safety standards while providing good customer service.

Area of responsibility 1:
Management of People

Main activities- Propose resource requirements Manage and support and appropriate organizational structure to meet- the strategic missions, critical success factors and business outcomes for the department- The recruitment of staff with the right experience, competencies and fit with the Virbac culture- Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to direct reports in order to ensure they meet the expectations- of performance, and to develop and support them in their role- Ensure the implementation of:

  • _
  • proper performance definition (job description and objectives), evaluation (regular feedback, annual performance review and other appropriate performance management measures),
  • reward and recognition and
  • training and development processes (Individual development plans as appropriate)
  • Ensure the communication and understanding of the company's vision, values, culture and strategy, and
  • fosters a positive, motivating working environment for all employees
  • Assist in the implementation of programs to improve employee and team performance, satisfaction and retention
  • Contribute to succession planning
  • Encourage and facilitates interdepartmental teamwork
  • Ensure the department proactively participates in all environmental, health and safety initiatives and complies with required policies and standards

To create, develop and retain an aligned, high performing, motivated team of people to achieve the desired outcomes of the department through coaching, mentoring, management, training and development to maximize the potential of the Supply Chain Team.


Area of responsibility 2:
Inventory Management (Receiving)


Main activities:

  • Ensure accurate receipt and inspection of all incoming stock according to SOPs
  • Ensure capturing receipt of stock on the ERP system
  • Distribute accurate and GDP compliant receipt documentation to relevant departments
  • Ensures availability of packaging materials (pallets)
  • Oversees the efficient picking of works orders for production and toll manufacturing
  • Ensure prompt and accurate stock movement in accordance with issued picking slips
  • Complete stock movement documentation accurately.
  • Verify stock accuracy as and when required
  • Handles high value and high scheduled medicine as required by relevant SOPs
  • Prevent stock losses due to damage or security breaches
  • Organize periodic stock verification through cycle counts and stock counts
  • Ensure that stock ris RV'd to the correct locations
  • Ensure that picking is done from correct locations
  • Create rooster for cycle counts
Expected results

Stock stored safely and efficiently in compliance with cGWP and SOPS


Area of responsibility 3:
Reporting.


Main activities- Ensure that all monthly reports of warehouse and distribution activities are completed on time and in full by- the 5th of each month- Ensure that day end assessment on work is issued to receiving personnel.

- Ensure that daily report are completed to ensure implementation KPI's

Accurate and timeous reporting

Area of responsibility 4:
Warehouse Management


Main activities:

  • Ensure warehouse infrastructure and materials handling equipment is maintained in good condition, managing maintenance and repairs as necessary
  • Contribute towards a safe working environment and ensure no loss of time, accidents or damage to infrastructure
  • Investigate and report incidents timeously and accurately.
  • Ensure forklift is serviced at the required service intervals and maintenance and checks are carried out as required
  • Reports any forklift issues to the service provider
  • Manage space in the receiving warehouse with bin verifications and spot checks
  • Ensure Constant communication with production team leaders, in order to plan and distribute workload
  • Manage the workload according to the production schedule.

Efficient management of warehouse infrastructure and inventory
