MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor processes, materials, or surroundings
- Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems
- Inspecting equipment, structures, or material
- Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
- Supervise other Butchery staff.
- Scheduling work and activities
- Scheduling events, programs, and activities, as well as the work of others.
- Supervise proper execution of orders and targets regarding quantity of different lines and according to recipes as follows:Cure, smoke, tenderize and preserve meat.
Wrap, weigh, label and price cuts of meat.
Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers
Shape, lace, and tie roasts, using boning knife, skewer, and twine
- Ensure Butchery runner records items picked from stores.
- Record details and quantities of items produced daily and sign off.
- Hygiene standards and clean PPE of all workers.
- Ensure allergen management is maintained.
- Cleaning standards at end of shift.
- Proper quality control at all grading points.
- Ensure all products are labelled and bar coded.
- Training and teaching others.

R6, R7,000.00 per month
