Draughtsman


Job Overview:

Responsibilities:


  • Interpret and analyze sketches, blueprints, specifications, and other design documents to understand project requirements.
  • Use CAD software to create precise technical drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure drawings meet design standards and project objectives.
  • Make revisions to drawings as required, incorporating feedback from stakeholders and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Prepare detailed documentation and reports to accompany drawings, including material lists, dimensions, and specifications.
  • Maintain organized files and records of all drawings and related documents.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and best practices in drafting and design.

Requirements:


  • Proven experience as a draughtsman or similar role, preferably in an engineering, architectural, or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in computeraided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar programs.
  • Strong technical drawing skills, with the ability to create accurate and detailed drawings from complex designs.
  • Knowledge of drafting standards, codes, and regulations relevant to the industry.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams and convey technical information clearly.
  • Time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • A degree or diploma in drafting, engineering, architecture, or a related field is preferred.

Additional Skills (preferred):

  • Experience with 3D modeling and visualization software.
  • Familiarity with specialized drafting techniques, such as piping or electrical drafting.
  • Knowledge of building materials, construction methods, or manufacturing processes relevant to the industry.
Salary between 9000 to negotiable based on experience
