Job Summary

  • Foster integrated event planning efforts with the Marketing manager, marketing team and external parties as appropriate to the event.
  • Plan, schedule and coordinate logístical activities for the company events.
  • Evaluate programme, event history, budget, contracts and planning committee recommendations to determine requirements such as space, facilities, technology, equipment, accommodation, catering and onsite management.
  • Assist in developing departmental budgets; assist in cost analysis, cost control and develop revenue enhancement strategies.
  • Serve as primary liaison with internal and external constituencies on all matters relating to program activities.
  • Send out the invitation and manage RSVP List.
  • Gather data and develop and prepare reports, summaries, analyses and projections.
  • Coordinate marketing material required for meetings, events and exhibitions.
  • Coordinate appointments and visits to see our space, and scheduling of events on the calendar.
  • Prepare and modify event contracts as requested
  • Propose new ideas to improve the event planning and implementation process.
  • Serve as liaison with vendors on eventrelated matters.
  • Managing onsite production and clean up for events as necessary.
  • Ensure events insurance and indemnities are in place for all the events.
  • When dealing with services providers on rider specifications ensure that the spec is met in accordance with all contractual arrangements.
  • Review and coordinate contractual agreement with suppliers in conjunction with the legal department

Qualification Requirement

  • Degree in Event Management/Marketing.

Minimum Experience in years & Skills

  • 35 years post qualification experience.
  • Excellent academic track record.
  • Skill in budget preparation and fiscal management.
  • Ability to perform complex tasks and to priorities multiple projects with skills in organizing resources.
  • Knowledge and understanding of meeting and event planning principles, requirements, procedures and available resources.
  • Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports.
  • Ability to plan organize and facilitate a range of special events.

Salary:
R400, R550,000.00 per year

  • Bachelors (required)

  • Event planning: 3 years (required)
