Main job function
Periodically check emails for outstanding jobs or new jobs
Site investigations for projects.
Quotes for projects: parts, specifications, cycle analysis, labour requirements & overall function. Define scope, benefits, exclusions & submit for approval.
Electrical drawing progress & method of control overview and explanation.
Research & specify equipment for project use.
Escalate supplier non-delivery when required to relevant department
Check schematic drawings prior to panel building or manufacturing.
Generate timing plans for projects (if costed) & regulate.
Check all required project documentation is in order.
Design plc functionality and translate into streamline, functional plc program.
Design and functionality of hmi & program.
Testing of plc & hmi programs.
In-house & site commissioning of machines.
Telephonic support of machines previously provided by MTP
Respond to breakdowns, repair or resolve in another manner (replace, renew or remove).
Costing of time spent, travel and parts used for all jobs involved in & submit.
Assist and advise staff when required.
Keep clients informed of progress of their respective projects, inform them of any changes promptly.
Receive and action instructions from management in an efficient manner.
Follow up on client queries.
