The Business Development & Planning Business Partner (BD& P Business Partner) needs to have extensive business knowledge required to translate business inputs into financial actions for the company by:

  • Contributing insights to the development of business scenarios
  • Enable beneficial investment decisions along the CC
Your 'day to day'

Business Planning, Partnering & Support for Strategy Development

  • Lead and participate in business discussions with the Management Team
  • Translate strategic plan into an operational business plan and financial plans which support local market strategy and regional priorities
  • Support an integrated business plan that connects all commercial activities connect the dots across the enterprise

  • Support the rollout of Reduced Risk Products (RRP) in the market although Combustible Cigarettes (CC) will be your primary focus
  • Understand and analyse the macroeconomic environment
  • Be the face to external partners and key contact point within the organisation
  • Manage local data governance to ensure alignment with PMI standards
  • Support Key Accounts and Wholesale RTM with indepth analysis and guidance on all elements of the profit & loss (P&L)
Commercial Finance / scenario modelling

  • Partner with commercial teams to define the return on investment (ROI) of initiatives and driving/supporting investment decisions and defining metrics and targets
  • Provide decision options to improve business results, based on clear commercial and other functional (e.g., fiscal) drivers
  • Contribute to building business/commercial scenarios with highlevel Finance impact
  • Identify trends and patterns to maximise channel ROI, based on data (e.g., ensure optimise channel mixes)
  • Contribute to Business Development activities where required
  • Drive Commercial excellence in line with Revenue Growth Principles
  • Support all relevant project & programmes with robust financial modelling
Who we're looking for

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Management Accounting is essential
  • Completed CIMA/CA(SA)/ACCA or Postgraduate Qualifications is preferred
  • A minimum 5 years of Commercial/Marketing Finance experience in large FMCG/CPG businesses is key
  • Experience within Pharmaceutical industry/Excisable Consumers goods categories will be advantageous
  • A minimum 2 years of supervisory/team management experience

  • Data Management, Analytics & Digital Savvy Financial & Business Reporting and Analysis
  • A high level of comfort in Advanced MS excel with interactive dashboard experience is vital
  • Data to insights and solutions which includes Data Interpretation & Agile and Innovative Problem Solving
  • Negotiation skills, ability to sell an idea/concept
  • Commercial Acumen, Value Chain/Price structure expert
  • Competent in Net Revenue Management/Revenue Growth Management principles
