Job Context:

SERVEST TECHNICAL SERVICES HAS A VACANCY OF SITE TECHNICIAN, BASED IN CAPE TOWN, REPORTING TO THE TECHNICAL MANAGER. MUST HAVE GRADE 12 WITH HIGHER TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS RESIDING IN CAPE TOWN. EXPERIENCE IN PARKING PAY ON FOOT PARKING WILL BE BENEFICIAL.

Minimum Requirements:

ØMatric (Grade 12); higher Technical qualifications;
ØClear criminal record;
ØSA citizen;
ØMust have valid drivers license;
ØMust reside in Cape Town;
ØMust be able to work shifts;
ØMust be computer literate and be able to use Excel, Word and Outlook;
ØExperience in the parking pay on foot parking will be beneficial;
ØMust have an understanding of basic electronics;
ØWill be required to be calm under pressure/ must be hard working and respect and ahead to deadline imposed either internally or externally;
ØMust have a keen problem solving ability and must be able to think on their feet;
ØMust have experience in working with other people in a Group;
ØMust be able to approach problems in a rational and logical manner;

Duties & Responsibilities:

ØService and maintain a pay on foot parking system;
ØEnsure parking equipment is functioning correctly at all times;
ØEnsure parking equipment is clean and maintained as per the servicing schedules;
ØRespond to reported faults on the system;
ØRepair reported faults and report back to supervisors;
ØLiaise with team on site as well as supervisors as to status of kit, reported faults services etc.
