    Description

    **Business Development Manager for SMEs**

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Promote awareness of boardroom-appointments in the market.
    • Drive business development by identifying and targeting new opportunities within the SME sector.
    • Achieve sales targets through lead generation, prospecting, client meetings, proposal creation, estimates, presentations, etc.
    • Identify and target sales opportunities at various levels: low, medium, and high.
    • Formulate strategies to win new business and increase market share.
    • Open new business accounts according to established procedures.
    • Create and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and other related documents.
    • Provide weekly and monthly reports as required internally and to clients.
    • Cultivate strong relationships through regular meetings for new business or servicing existing clients.
    • Manage the CRM system in accordance with applicable requirements.
    • Negotiate rates with suppliers to procure the best rates for clients' specific needs.
    • Handle operational, financial, or other queries from clients.
    • Foster awareness and understanding of industry vertical information, requirements, and general knowledge.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry changes, information, and skill requirements.
    • Perform other delegated tasks as assigned by the reporting manager.

    **Requirements:**

    • Mandatory matriculation certificate.
    • Previous experience in clearing & forwarding sales is essential.
    • Proven sales track record of 3 years or more is required.
    • Formal sales training is necessary.
    • Strong understanding of the SME sector and its unique logistics needs.
    • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
    • Well-presented, professional individual with excellent written and verbal language skills.
    • Effective negotiation skills.
    • Ability to read and interpret financial information, including budgets, financial statements, and P&L data.
    • Full computer literacy.
    • Ability to create and implement strategies.
    • Capacity to work in a target-driven and pressured environment.
