What are you going to do?


The HR Business Partner provides HR leadership, organisational and industry expertise and analysis to enable strategic business plans and aligning key HR priorities with the strategic priorities of the business.


Key Responsibilities include:

Business Partnering

  • Contributes, as member of the OpCo Management Team, to the design and implementation of the overall strategy for the OpCo in order to align HR agenda with the overall strategy
  • Formulates the HR agenda for his/her area, consistent with the business strategy f the OpCo, which after approval by the BU HR Manager, General Manager, results in short and (mid) long term plans for organizational or cultural change
  • Proactively advises management in decisions with substantial human resources consequences, by actively using HR analytics and dashboards supporting these decisions, within corporate guidelines, to ensure HR awareness in decision making and to minimise organisational and personnel risks. Counsels management on how to handle personnel issues and problems
  • Advises and supports management in relation to a quantitative and qualitative optimal staffing structure (Hiring, Firing and Developing)
  • May participate in local discussions, meetings and negotiations with Trade Unions, Works Councils and other employee representative bodies

Change Management

  • Participates in implementing change management processes in the business, as well as in leading major HR change initiatives.
  • Consults and coaches operational or functional leaders on organizational change management with respect to HR processes and business projects, employee issues and sustainability
  • Driving organizational capability development, engagement and representing the people and organization dimension in the operational or functional management teams to contribute to the development and execution of the business / HR strategy

HR Excellence & Compliance

  • Contributes to the development of higher level HR strategy and policies, by actively taking part in global meetings and being part of expert panels / global HR project teams.
  • Be an expert in the HR field and keep track of developments field and translates insights into proposals relating to policy changes and submit them to the BU HR Manager.
  • Proactively initiates and implements HR programs and processes in line with formulated HR strategy in order to bring the business organisation to higher professional standards and to professionalize HR within the unit. Assures the full implementation of broader policies and adherence to internal and external guidelines, policies and rules & regulations

HR operations

  • Champions the whole cycle of (Global) HR processes and programs from talent acquisition to employee onboarding, engagement, development and offboarding (including performance management and compensation & benefits) to support growth and development of people in the respective units.
  • Ensures high level of data quality required in the various systems and tools.
  • Manages cost of all HR services provided to business within the set and agreed cost budgets.

What you will bring

  • Member of relevant HR professional body
  • Minimum 5 years experience in generalise HR role, preferably advising at management team level
  • Experience of working within manufacturing
  • Good knowledge of local employment laws
  • Experience of negotiating with Trade Unions
  • Comfortable working at tactical and operational level within HR
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Strong integrity
  • Ability to work on own initiative in local standalone HR role
  • Logical and pragmatic thinker
