Job Purpose


The Senior Manager, Reporting and Analytics is responsible for weaving together a cohesive narrative that showcases the performance of the Client Value Management (CVM) function in Retail and Business Banking.

This role collaborates with stakeholders across the value chain to compile insights, translate data into compelling stories that connects the dots to the CVM strategy.


Responsibilities:


  • Collaboration and Communication: Working closely with various teams to facilitate the free flow of information and ideas.
  • Engage with CVM teams and other relevant stakeholders to gather insights, initiatives, and efforts conducted within the value chain.
  • Collaborate closely with crossfunctional partners to ensure a holistic understanding of CVM performance.
  • Data Visualization Expertise: Gathering and scrutinizing data to draw meaningful insights.
  • Utilizing data visualization tools and techniques to make complex data more accessible and understandable.
  • Monthly Performance Storytelling: Analyze quantitative and qualitative data related to CVM functions.
  • Craft engaging narratives that connect monthly outcomes to the overarching strategy.
  • Present these insights in a clear, concise, and impactful manner for executive consumption.
  • Integrated Reporting: Compile integrated reports that provide a comprehensive view of CVM performance.
  • Ensure alignment with strategic goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • OPCOM Compilation: Prepare OPCOM (Operational Committee) reports, highlighting critical achievements, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Data Maintenance and Compliance: Ensuring data integrity and adherence to relevant standards and regulations.

Crafting compelling narratives based on data to inform and persuade stakeholders.

  • Report Creation and Enhancement: Developing and improving reports to better meet the informational needs of the organization.
  • Contribute to the business strategy by providing insights, managing data analysis, and interpreting strategic issues and businessrelated challenges faced by Nedbank.
  • Deliver key insights in supporting strategic decisionmaking by responding timeously and professionally to a variety of adhoc business requests that have an impact across the division and organization.
  • Research and analyse queries by consulting with different stakeholders across Nedbank to deliver timeous and accurate resolutions.
  • Create, maintain and coordinate the team effectiveness and disciplines through collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Minimize risk and enhance stakeholder satisfaction by developing embedded reporting processes and ensuring they are aligned with Nedbank standards.
  • Contribute to the achievement of Nedbank goals and objectives.
  • Motivate staff to perform and contribute to the success of the business by creating an environment of teamwork through engaging with staff (sharing information) and encouraging participation in decision making processes.
  • Stay abreast in field of expertise and deliver on the expectations from stakeholders by building capability of self and staff through identifying current and future training and development needs.
  • Ensure self and staff understand and embrace the Nedbank Vision and Values by leading by example and reenforcing values during meetings.

  • Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Data Analysis, Reporting, or a similar role.
