Key Purpose

The product owner works closely with the platform product manager as well as the business and epic owners for the items being delivered by the team to ensure the delivery meets expectations.

The product owner also contributes to the tribe's vision, delivery roadmap and priorities for platform enhancement delivery, balancing operational, technical and business requirements.

Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to

Collaborating with prospective users and clients to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements
Become the SME for the Vitality Drive International platform.
Collaborate with all areas of the business.
Explaining and ensuring that the team understands the "Why" of all work they are doing
Be readily available to the development team to answer any questions team members have regarding the customer's needs and the customer's views of how the team is implementing a product feature.
Managing the product backlog and prioritizing them in conjunction with business stakeholders, based on changing requirements
Collaborating with various team members in all stages of product creation including design and development
Developing user stories and specification documents
Monitoring and evaluating product progress at each stage of the process
Liaising with the product team and endusers to deliver updates
Participating in Scrum ceremonies

Good communication skills both verbal and written
Sound understanding of business processes and product constructs
Strong leader, able to bring people from different disciplines, cultures and working styles towards consensus
Comfortable with high degrees of complexity and ambiguity
Good with stakeholder management, i.e., clients, vendors
High level of professionalism and customer focus
Results orientation
Strong organisational and governance skills
Advanced knowledge of business analysis principles
Agile project delivery
Negotiation skills

Education and Experience:

Matric
Bachelor's degree
5 experience in a business analysis, product owner, product management or software consulting role with a specific focus on solution design.
Experience in Design Thinking
Work experience in Agile product delivery
Business Analysis experience
Technical experience or skills advantageous
Telematics industry experience extremely advantageous.
