    Job Summary

    To provide advice & support in the development and implementation of governance planning and associated service delivery processes, methods, and techniques.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assume the role of AVP (Assistant Vice President) within the CIB (Corporate and Investment Bank) and Treasury Product Control 1st line of defense (1LOD) Governance team.
    • Ensure risk management is conducted in full compliance with regulatory requirements, enterprise risk management framework, and Internal ABSA Policies and Standards.
    • Provide business advisory services to senior leadership and the extended leadership team on risk and control matters.
    • Perform assurance activities as a 1st line of defense colleague, facilitating the establishment and maintenance of a robust control environment.
    • Work closely with the Finance Management team, specifically in Product Control.
    • Lead the team in executing Product Control 1LOD mandate for allocated areas.

    Desirable Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degrees or similar qualifications in a financial/related discipline with 5 years relevant experience or CA(SA)
    • Investment banking or Product Control experience
    • Product specific knowledge
    • Experience in creating and maintaining an effective control environment
