Key Responsibilities
Business Administration
- Implementation and ongoing management of business administration processes to ensure the effective and efficient running of the retail outlets
- Implementation and ongoing management of accounting processes to ensure accurate recording and reporting
- Implementation and ongoing management of POS system to ensure accurate stock management, sales capturing and reporting.
- Assisting in the research and designing of the above processes
Retail Team management and support
- Responsible for the overall smooth running of all company own retail outlets.
- All personnel working for the retail division will report in to this position, unless otherwise agreed upon by the Directors.
- Ensure shop managers and assistants sign ownership of each section in the training manual.
- Holding store managers and assistant managers accountable to what they have signed ownership and responsibility for.
Stock Control
- Take ownership of the forecasting by store process
- Own the stock replenishment process and make sure store staff are managing their part and the process is running smoothly
- Ensuring short dated stock is cleared through proactive problem solving
Sales
- Responsible for the overall sales targets
- Problem solving all hurdles to attain the sales targets
- Responsible for bringing ideas on how to improve the retail experience to Marketing Exco
Marketing
- Responsible for ensuring the brand equity is optimised within the retail division
- Ensure that the customer experience is optimised within the retail outlets
- Rolling out the marketing plan to each store.
- Monitoring the success of marketing initiatives
Finance
- Responsible for the communication and overall management of expense budgets for all retail outlets.
- Responsible for the management and execution of an accurate and efficient stock control system
- Responsible for implementing ways to save costs and improve efficiencies.
- Responsible for overseeing Palladium POS software and associated hardware to ensure they are functioning according to specs and problem solving with staff and consultants when they are not.
Reporting
- Responsible for extracting, compiling and presenting accurate and effective monthly reports relating to retail outlets to Directors
HR
- Responsible for Safe working conditions
- Responsible for employment contracts
- Responsible for disciplinary procedures
- Responsible for the management of any incentive schemes
- Responsible for ensuring all shops are correctly staffed
- Ensure training programmes are maintained
General
- Ownership of key project management relating to retail division.
- Responsible for central and municipal compliance with regards to the retail outlets.
- Overseeing that all branch assets and equipment are functioning according to specs.
Qualifications
Degree in business management or business administration
Retail management experience (min 5 years)
Prior experience in HR (min 5 years)
Experience
- Min of two years in theoretical or practical accounting tasks.
- Prior theoretical or practical experience in HR (min 5 years)
