    Description

    Lead Electrical/Mechatronic Design Engineer

    Cape Town is the design hub for Product Development, responsible for developing and designing commercial products and sub-systems. This role involves designing from first principles and improving existing products, with end-to-end engineering services for commercial vehicle engineering and development to service support.

    Key Objectives:

    • To lead and enhance electrical design capabilities, ensuring high-quality engineering outputs.
    • To effectively manage projects and deliver exceptional customer satisfaction.

    Responsibilities:

    • Directing and guiding design engineers on technical-related issues.
    • Engineering Project Management.
    • Designing electrical wiring (2D, 3D, Schematics) and integrating control modules.
    • Conducting design reviews and integration.
    • Creating CAD designs and managing product data using 3D modeling and 2D drawings.
    • Providing product support and executing projects.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering.
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in design, preferably in automotive electrical design environments.
    • Willingness to travel overseas for variable periods.
