About the job

Responsibilities:

• Identify and acquire new business for both our trade brand and general public audiences.
• Managing existing customers, potential clients and lead searching to find the key clients at the right companies.
• Working closely with our small team, you will manage timelines, minimum targets, and focus on growing your database in the right B2B and general public sectors.
• Engrain yourself in the business' story, our reader, associations, our message and have an Indepth understanding of offerings to be able to showcase our business offerings eloquently to discerning clients.
• Preparing and following up on offers made, and negotiating with clients through costings, offerings and ideas to help them build their brands through us.
• Keeping an eye on competitors and being able to offer your clients a better solution.
• Supporting editorial articles with ideas for advertisers that correlate with our content.
• Focus on Driving sales in print media, through our online portals and through our trade events and trade shows.
• Representing the company at trade shows and conferences, and being a face of the company, to present us proudly.

The role is perfect for someone who:

• Is performance oriented and persistent
• You enjoy media, production, and the over arching sectors of architecture, interior design and landscaping
• Salesminded is how you would define yourself
• You have a strong business acumen and ability to reason with clients
• An independent, proactive and result oriented work ethic
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the media sales/ marketing sales background
• Experience in sales of magazines or similar, and have a track record to show us for your proudest sales.
• Selfmotivated and driven personality with excellent communication skills
• Business fluency in English, and the ability to learn and navigate costings, numbers and packages for clients.
