PURPOSE OF THE JOB


The Sales Assistant will help ensure that the cash & carry rans smoothly and efficiently, and will be the "face" to clients and guests who will visit the office.

The Sales assistant will utilize organizational and interpersonal skills to work with all employees and clients and assist with walk-in customers.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Excellent and professional customer service
  • Knowledge of all products available for sale
  • Ensuring shelves are stocked and products are in good condition
  • Balancing cash register and receipts
  • Following proper procedure when stock movement has to take place to and from the warehouse
  • Handling customer complaints where necessary
  • Take initiative with promotions and sales techniques to boost sales

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2 years' customer service/sales experience
  • Well presented
  • A strong and proven ability to multitask and prioritize issues
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Internet, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Minimum matric plus 2 years previous retail/sales experience
  • Fully bilingual English and Afrikaans
  • Ability to reach targets and upsell
  • Valid code 08 driver's license
  • Own reliable transport advantageous
  • Strong and proven ability to multi task and prioritize
  • Previous experience using POS
  • Attention to detail
  • Team player

Salary:
R8 000,00 - R9 000,00 per month
