    Description

    **Job Title:** Cluster Pharmacist

    Primary Purpose of the Job

    • Provide proper patient care in accordance with Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP) regulations.
    • Attend training sessions on Pharmacy Acts and GPP to ensure compliance.
    • Prioritize attending Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) training and revision sessions to stay updated.
    • Maintain strict adherence to Company Policies, Procedures, and SOPs.
    • Evaluate and comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPI Act) regulations.
    • Capture chronic and acute medication prescriptions accurately, handling rejections as per company SOPs.
    • Regularly review and respond to cluster and personal action diaries.
    • Meet Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements by completing mailbox profiles and action diaries within specified timelines.
    • Address clinical inquiries and engage in discussions with patients, healthcare professionals, or Sales Promoters Network (SPNs) members in a professional manner.
    • Respond promptly to email messages or enquiries received from management, SPNs, or colleagues.
    • Monitor and address OUT OF WIP notifications in a timely fashion.
    • Manage blind checking mailboxes according to SLA timelines.
    • Understand and implement cold chain processes, track expiry dates, and manage stock returns efficiently.
    • Register as a Medipost tutor through the Medicines Tribunal Association (MTA).
    • Tutor and train a small group of assistants on company SOPs, policies, Over-the-Counter (OTC) medications, and health-related topics.
    • Assume charge of a small group of assistants in line with the Disaster Recovery Plan.

    The ideal candidate should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, be self-driven, and have a passion for providing excellent patient care. They should also be willing to register as a Medipost tutor and train assistants on various topics.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Stock Management - Responsible for managing stock levels, understanding cold chain processes, tracking expiry dates, and processing stock returns.
    • Email Correspondence - Respond to email messages or enquiries received from management, SPNs, or colleagues in a professional manner.
    • OUT OF WIP Notifications - Address OUT OF WIP notifications in a timely fashion.
    • Blind Checking Mailbox - Manage blind checking mailboxes according to SLA timelines.
    • Tutoring and Training - Tutor and train a small group of assistants on company SOPs, policies, OTC medications, and health-related topics.
    • Disaster Recovery Plan - Assume charge of a small group of assistants in line with the Disaster Recovery Plan.
