- Oversee the overall operation and administration of the laboratory, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Promote professional standards and expertise within the organization.
- Provide consultation services to doctors and healthcare professionals, offering expert advice on pathology and clinical laboratory matters.
- Monitor and control results, verifying accuracy and consistency.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive reports, analyzing data and presenting findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Participate in peer review groups, sharing knowledge and best practices with colleagues.
- Sign out all abnormal results according to established criteria, ensuring prompt attention to critical cases.
- Fellowship of the College of Pathologists (South Africa)
- Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa in relevant register and practice field
- MBChB degree
- Master's degree in Pathology
