    Business Development Manager for Retail

    We are seeking a Business Development Manager to support our clients in achieving their business potential through the provision of business intelligence and growth strategies.

    This key decision-making role requires the ability to take ownership and lead customers towards successful outcomes.

    Job Overview

    • Develop business relationships with major retailers and independents, focusing on expanding partnerships.
    • Create customized growth plans for each store and execute them effectively.
    • Identify new business opportunities by opening new accounts, following up on existing leads, attending trade shows, and engaging in cold calling activities.
    • Drive in-store promotions, often working weekends, to motivate and activate sales teams.
    • Manage order and delivery processes, customer stock, and shelf management.
    • Supervise a team of 2-6 people responsible for delivery and tele-sales operations.
    • Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on selling strategies and marketing information.
    • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions.

    Requirements

    • A proven track record in sales within the retail/FMCG sector.
    • Minimum 7 years of sales experience.
    • Strong mathematical skills and ability to think critically under pressure.
    • Familiarity with CRM software, such as Skynamo, is advantageous.
