    A hardworking Senior Bookkeeper – Accountant with strong financial acumen and computer skills to ensure the smooth functioning of the business financial operations.

    What's the role?

    Duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Manage procurement department and process's
    • Setting up and reporting on department costings
    • Processing of all supplier invoices and reconciliation of all supplier accounts on a monthly basis
    • All suppliers due for payment to be loaded to the monthly payment list (internal)
    • Processing of customer invoices and reconciliation of all accounts on a monthly basis
    • Processing of all bank accounts and reconciliation thereof
    • Follow up with customers for payment advice and/or dates of payment
    • All general journals to be processed
    • Bi-annual provisional tax returns for the company as at end of February and end of August to be completed, processed and submitted to SARS via Efiling
    • Members loan accounts to be updated and reconciled
    • Monthly salaries to be processed
    • All suppliers' payments to be loaded on to bank to be released
    • All vat and PAYE payments to be loaded to the bank to be released
    • IOD returns to be submitted
    • Annual CIPC returns to be processed and submitted via the CIPC website
    • Credit applications to be processed and submitted to the creditor as needed
    • Tax clearance certificates to be applied for as needed
    • Annual seta applications to be processed and submitted to the seta as per the dates supplied by the seta
    • Personal information document to be completed as well as bank details document by all new employees

    Boxes to tick:

    • Must be able to start as soon as possible.
    • Must have a relevant industry degree
    • Must have at least 3 years' experience in a similar role.
    • The candidate must be English speaking (fluent) and is required to have advanced computer literacy
    • She / He must have a strong personality and be able to professionally deal with customers
    • Must be presentable and tidy and proud of the work delivered
    • Ideally candidates should have expert knowledge of VAT, tax, provisional taxes and UIF
    • Experience in Managing a team of people
    • Xero experience
