Winemaker sought for a dynamic role at a well-established wine producer in the Olifantsriver Valley, requiring expertise in winemaking, quality control, and personnel management.

Lutzville Vineyards, a leading producer of bulk and bottled wine, is seeking a skilled Winemaker to join their production team. The successful candidate will report to the Production Manager and be responsible for:

• Winemaking for a diverse range of wines
• Ensuring quality control throughout the production process
• Managing personnel and maintaining a high-performing team
• Overseeing stock control and wine administration
• Participating in wine tastings and liaison activities
• Maintaining the cellar's facilities and ensuring housekeeping standards
• Ensuring the implementation and maintenance of quality systems

Requirements for the role include:

• A formal qualification in viticulture and oenology
• A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Winemaker
• Excellent management and leadership skills
• A high level of confidentiality and discretion
• The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently
• Proficiency in computer systems, including WineMS and EZYWine
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Excellent organisational and planning skills
• Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English
• A valid driver's license
