At RCL FOODs we believe in doing more, more for our people and more for our communities.We are on the lookout for a passionate, experienced Managing Executive who will be responsible for directing and managing the delivery of shareholders' returns through an integrated business strategy for our Pet business.
The successful incumbent will be responsible for the team, setting budgets, driving investment plans to extend capacity as well as orchestrating the process between different functions (purchase, production, sales, finance) to ensure efficient production, with high customer service and high, consistent quality.
The successful incumbent will also have the flexibility of being based in Durban or Johannesburg.Duties & Responsibilities:
Strategy
Identify and propose strategies for business development
Participate in strategic sessions to develop a Company strategy that meets shareholder expectations. Share operational strategy with the team and ensure sufficient resources to meet targets.
Evaluate the strategy score card quarterly to identify progress and develop plans to close gaps on deviations.
Operations and Sales
Oversee marketing, production and sales of Pet products.
Execute target distribution by territory, ensure distribution depth, follow up target v/s achievement.
Plan and implement an effective sales drive that ensure monthly sales and revenue target
Co-ordinate sales action plans for individual sales employees and oversee the activities and performance.
Lead, monitor, control, motivate team members to achieve individual's sales target
Maintain effective communication with prospects/customers that ensures company's interest
Prepare sales reports as per guideline of the department and maintain inventory control
Prepare and implement regional operations plan and executions
Manage all sales communication and requirements through effective management of the marketing function
Analyse weekly and monthly trend analysis on sales achievements
Provide regular feedback on all promotional and marketing initiatives feedback.
Manage external stakeholders to ensure additional revenue streams B2B and B2C
Prepare monthly report with detail customer information, competitors overall sales and marketing activities, assessing promotional actions with overall observations and suggestions to gear up marketing plan.
Ensure compliance to legal and corporate requirements.
Provide strong leadership in order to meet business objectives and targets.
Develop and implement systems that drive continuous improvement.
Drive customer experience and relations in line with quality and performance standards
Ensure that all staff delivers required service standards and attends SOP training
Analyse report and implement action plans based on customer experience feedback to enhance levels of customer experience and proactively determine areas of improvement
Financial
Annual budget planning and setting up target based on industry.
Manage Capex budget and present Game Plan and strategic plans
Review financial statement and use data to improve profitability
Manage budgets efficiently to achieve EBITDA targets
Transformation
Drive transformation objectives within Pet.
Schedule regular meetings and ensure action points are followed through.
Lead the team to achieving key objectives and targets and provide feedback to stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements:
B Comm in Business Management, Finance or similar
8 to 10 years experience in a General Management or Senior Management role.
5 years in Strategic Management
