Purpose of Role:
- To provide highlevel quality control support to company and Parts Distribution Centre, by using appropriate measuring equipment and methods.
Brief Description of the Position:
- Inspect incoming parts (Buyouts), (Parts Distribution Centre Spares) and repaired / reworked components according to the order requirements
- Inspect raw materials to ensure consistency and integrity conform to the order with regard to material specifications
- Assist fitters and personnel with component measurements during assembly when required
- Follow all intervention points as marked up on pump assembly QCP's routings with regards to hold, verification, witness and review points
- Visual inspection of complete pumps and signing off final release / final quality control checklist
- Marking of heat number, order number and material on components where required, also ensure trackability and stamping of heat number on any material movement within or out of the company
- Filing of all drawings, material certificates, heat treatment certificates on the system; Report problems or concerns to responsible Supervisor / Manager immediately
- Carry out NCR on items or issues timeously and process timeously
- Work overtime and shifts if and when required in consultation with your Supervisor / Manager
- Carry out accurate quality control reporting on pumps / items when required
- Maintain measuring equipment and ensure items are calibrated at all times and report any issues
- Carry out NDT testing and required reporting under his/ her skill levels of NDT testing
- Maintain high level of quality and standards at all times
- Avail yourself if and when required for training and courses that might be granted to you for selfimprovement of skill levels
- Comply with and enforce all company Policies and Procedures ;Carry out all other reasonable tasks that may be delegated from time to time
- Assist fellow employees with daily functions as and when required
Inherent Requirements
Education:
- Matric / N4 / Qualified Fitter and Turner Machinist (Trade Papers)
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 Years' experience in Quality Control / Fitting, Turning machining environment
- Computer Literacy / SAP experience is essential
- Knowledge of Quality Control standards and testing / inspection methodologies
- Non destructive testing experience advantageous
- Read and interpret technical literature
- Attention to detail
- Willing attitude to learn and take advise,
- Assembly of pumps and knowledge would be an advantage
- Knowledge of 3D QC Measuring Probing Equipement would be an adavantage
