    Job Description:

    The purpose of this is role is to support the De Beers business strategy to directly drive business value, by delivering fit for purpose IM Enterprise Architecture.

    The role is a De Beers Group business expert with extensive knowledge of the Architecture. They are aligned with the wider business objectives, that lead the solutions and support of systems into the De Beers business.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  • Safety of all employees in region, both De Beers permanent and 3rd party resources at regional operation
  • Manage IT professionals to deliver outcomes on time and within budget.
  • Work closely with IM leaders to foster the use and expansion of the Enterprise Architecture Framework globally.
  • Oversee the delivery of IM services for Enterprise Architecture.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align IT initiatives and implementations with business objectives.
  • Manage IT professionals to deliver outcomes on time and within budget.
  • Ensure incorporation of compliance to all IM policies and Standards (Cyber Security, AUP, Software & Systems) for Enterprise Architecture artefacts/deliverables
  • Align IM Enterprise Architecture strategies to De Beers business strategies.
  • Work with business and IM leaders to understand strategic priorities and align these to the Enterprise Architecture priorities and how this influences the IM strategy.
  • Create, maintain and communicate architectural blueprints, patterns, principles and standards.
  • Promote the business value of architecture as an enabler of the strategy, and as support for technology innovation, which drives the derivation of business value within De Beers
  • Create and maintain the EA framework through consultation with the IM Leadership team and relevant business stakeholders.
  • Qualifications:

    The successful incumbent must meet the following criteria:

  • An undergraduate qualification (Bachelors degree or equivalent) in the relevant IM, business, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis or a related field of study, or equivalent experience
  • Experience working in a multinational, multi-cultural environment.
  • Extensive global enterprise architecture experience and strong business relationships
  • IT Service Delivery
  • Outsourcing, supplier negotiation and strategic vendor & contract management
  • Budget, project and change management.
  • Compliance / Assurance
  • Managing across boundaries and matrix structures
  • TOGAF or comparable certification
  • REQUIRED SKILLS / COMPETENCIES:

  • A self-starter who takes the initiative and follows though.
  • Strong thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of enterprise systems and solutions for the group.
  • Ability to develop and grow others within the team.
  • Financial metrics & budgeting (performance/cost/capital management, value driver analysis)
  • Business improvement tools and techniques
