Our client is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Production Manager to join their team.

As a Production Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing the manufacturing process to ensure efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery of products.

Responsibilities:


  • Production Planning and Scheduling:
  • Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demands and optimize resource allocation.
  • Create and maintain production schedules, ensuring timely completion of orders.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead and motivate the production team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Establish and enforce quality control standards to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives and corrective actions as needed.
  • Resource Management:
  • Manage production resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure the availability of necessary materials and supplies.
  • Budget Management:
  • Monitor and control production costs to stay within budgetary constraints.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational improvement.
  • Health and Safety Compliance:
  • Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and regulations.
  • Investigate and address any safety incidents or concerns promptly.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement lean manufacturing principles.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management) is preferred.
  • Food Manufacturing Experience: Proven experience in maintenance management within the food manufacturing industry, with a strong understanding of meat, fish, poultry, bakery, and dairy production processes.
  • Proven experience in production management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning software and tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and production management software.
  • Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and certifications is a plus.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
