    Description

    As a Mechanical Designer at our company, you will play a crucial role in leading the Interior Design and Assembly Design team.

    You will be responsible for meeting design requirements for new models, as well as upgrading and improving existing models. This will involve Design-for-assembly principles, collaborating with cross-functional teams to conduct tests, develop cost models, and manage the Engineering Change Request system for your department.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Leverage expertise in mechanical engineering to drive innovative design solutions
    2. Lead a team of designers/design engineers to achieve project goals and deadlines
    3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design requirements are met
    4. Develop and maintain cost models to optimize production efficiency
    5. Manage the Engineering Change Request system to ensure seamless implementation of design changes

    Requirements:

    1. National Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial Design)
    2. 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry
    3. Proficient in SolidWorks
    4. 2 years supervisory or management experience
    5. General computer skills (MS Office)
    6. Valid SA Driver's license
