We are seeking a Branch Manager for a permanent role based in Isando, Gauteng.


Our client is a national NGO, distributing food throughout SA, alleviating hunger whilst reducing the environmental impact of food loss and waste by recovering food from various farmers, retailers, and manufacturers to feed thousands of people in vulnerable communities.


Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

  • Degree / Diploma in Management / similar with at least 5 years management & supervisory experience
  • Strong admin / inventory supervisory experience as well as management experience within FMCG / retail / wholesale environment
  • Proficient in MS Office and experience on inventory management software
  • Good communication skills oral and written and making presentations
  • Clear criminal and credit record

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Operations / stock control
  • ensure processes, procedures adhered to; accurate reporting; ensure data in ERP is accurate; ensure stock accurately processed; monitor stock levels and expiration dates; guidance for warehouse staff; safe movement/storage of food; schedule meetings; oversee purchasing process and food sourcing process
  • Fleet / equipment / fuel management equipment is regularly serviced; ensure licenses are current; ensure drivers have valid documents; obtain quotes; monitor fuel usage; implement least cost routing
  • Beneficiary organization management maintain good relations, schedule distribution
  • Reporting weekly stock reports; donor reports; updating branch assets
  • Donors / suppliers / stakeholders ensure orders placed in advance; ensure document submitted; work within set budgets
  • HR Management probation / KPI reviews; updating HR files; ensure clocking in; branch rosters; leave records; handle HR queries; monthly payroll input; induction, company benefit assistance, and exist interviews; disciplinary hearings; coordinate training; termination documentation; ensure recruitment process is followed
  • Finance ensure invoices are authorized; process supplier invoices; petty cash recons
  • ICT first line support; escalate / report serious issues

Salary:
Market related dependent on experience
