    Quality Assurance Project Engineer required for a leading automotive company based in Kariega

    Education & Experience

    • BSc degree /National Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
    • Have a minimum of 5 years Engineering experience.
    • Have a minimum of 5 years' experience with Automotive Industry brands

    Skills, Attributes & Other requirements

    • German language (speak, read and write)
    • Project Management
    • International interaction
    • Thorough working knowledge of Technical, Quality and Design functions.
    • Knowledge of Conformity of Series Production and associated legal requirements of worldwide export markets
    • Working experience of statistical techniques and quality tools
    • Working knowledge of ISO 9000 / VDA-6 elements / OHS and philosophy

    Job Description and Responsibilities

    • Ensuring that the new vehicle evaluation/validation (Model change and New Projects) is carried out to the laid down Konzern guidelines. Make recommendations regarding PVS (Pre-Series Build) and O-Series vehicle build status, for the pending SOP (Start of Series Production) release of the new product at the required timing.
    • Communicating with VW/Audi AG on all new project related topics.
    • Representing QA Division in Project meetings, assess decision requirement, prepare and submit requirements to Project Team.
    • Assessing and co-ordinating all proposed changes (PP, ECR, Deviations, and Localization) for their impact on the business
    • Planning the introduction of changes according to Group guidelines to minimize risk to Production.
    • Generating project investment requirements on behalf of Quality.
    • Determining manpower requirements for SKD, MKD and CKD operations.
    • Analysing the cause of non-conformances reported through validation drives and co-ordinating the problem resolution process with the responsible departments.
