Descriptions:

To take ownership of and responsibility for all PCB and PCB assembly quality control related matters including, but not limited to, performing incoming inspections and in-process inspections
Ensure bare PCBs and PCB assemblies received conform to IPC-A-600 and IPC-A-610 class 3 requirements, work/assembly instructions and specific customer/company requirements
Ensure defects identified are documented and addressed with the subcontractor

To continuously collaborate with quality assurance, inventory control and technical staff to analyse and improve quality control systems and processes.

Qualifications:

Matric or equivalent qualification
Minimum of 2 years' experience in PCB assembly related quality control
IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 (or equivalent) certification would be an advantage
PCB assembly soldering (SMT including fine pitch and 0402 as well as TH) experience would be an advantage
Eager to take ownership and be accountable
Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to prioritise and multi-task
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with management and staff at all levels
Flexible enough for an SME environment
Capable of working in a highly technical environment
A general attitude of serving others to achieve a common goal
Ability to work and solve problems independently
Goal-oriented, organised team player
