    Job Summary

    The Donor Recruiter is responsible for recruiting and educating donors to ensure a sustainable and safe blood supply. This role involves participating in donor recruitment pilot studies, attending to donor queries, and providing feedback to the Donor Relations Practitioner.

    Main Responsibilities

    KPA 1: Customer Stakeholder

    1. Participate in donor recruitment pilot studies at specific blood drives.
    2. Respond to donor inquiries and report follow-up actions to the Donor Relations Practitioner.
    3. Provide feedback on educational needs to the Donor Relations Practitioner and Donor Educator.
    4. Assist with arranging donor marketing functions such as media launches and donor awards.

    KPA 2: Internal Processes

    1. Distribute advertising materials before the blood drive when required.
    2. Contact the blood drive controller/peer promoters to confirm arrangements.
    3. Arrange an alternative venue if necessary, including information on the recruiter's report form.
    4. Display advertising materials and directional arrows to enhance visibility.
    5. Recruit and educate donors to meet collection targets.
    6. Highlight risk behavior posters to ensure a safe blood supply.
    7. Welcome blood donors and put them at ease for a positive donation experience.
    8. Issue donor information pamphlets and ensure understanding of the content.
    9. Monitor the blood drive flow with guidance from the clinic supervisor to reduce waiting time.
    10. Offer refreshments to donors and handle customer service questions.
    11. Refer medical questions to the Clinic Supervisor.
    12. Assist with setting up and packing up the blood drive and leave the venue in good order.
    13. Promote campaigns to donors and provide feedback to the Donor Relations Practitioner.
    14. Support branch promotions, shows, and exhibitions.

    KPA 3: Learning and Growth

    1. Submit weekly donor recruitment reports to the Donor Relations Practitioner with recommendations for improvement.
    2. Update personnel files regularly and complete relevant SOPs and competencies.
    3. Attend required meetings and training sessions to stay informed and promote knowledge sharing.

    Requirements

    Education: Grade 12
    Marketing/Public Relations Certificate (Minimum 6 months)
    Driving Licence – Code B Manual

    Computer literacy: MS Office
