Description
Diploma or Degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field
Proven experience as a supply chain analyst or similar role within a manufacturing or distribution environment, preferably in the mining or construction industries
Solid understanding of supply chain concepts, including procurement, production planning, inventory management and logistics
Proficiency in supply chain analysis tools, statistical software, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven recommendations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles and process improvement methodologies is a plus.
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy


Supply Chain Analysis:

Conduct comprehensive analysis of the end-to-end supply chain processes for conical bits, including procurement, production, inventory management, and distribution.


Demand Forecasting:

Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop accurate demand forecasts, considering historical data, market trends, and customer requirements.


Inventory Management:

Optimise inventory levels by implementing appropriate inventory strategies, conducting regular stock analyses, and ensuring efficient order fulfilment to minimise insufficient stock or excess inventory.


Supplier Relationship Management:

Evaluate and manage relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.

Collaborate with production team to consider demand forecasts, capacity constraints, and lead times, to achieve optimal production efficiency.


Cost Optimisation:

Identify cost-saving opportunities within the supply chain, such as transportation, warehousing, and procurement, and develop strategies to reduce costs while maintaining product quality.


Process Improvement:
Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain processes, systems, and tools to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall performance.


Data Analysis and Reporting:

Collect, analyse, and interpret supply chain data to generate meaningful reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review and decision-making.


Risk Management:

Identify potential risks and disruptions in the supply chain, develop contingency plans, and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure uninterrupted supply and mínimal business impact.


Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with various departments, including operations, sales, finance, and logistics, to align supply chain activities with organisational goals and objectives.


Compliance and Regulatory Affairs:

Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards pertaining to supply chain operations, quality control, and product safety.
