    Job Purpose


    To support Global Markets front office operations to enable the achievement of Global Market strategies, operational efficiency, and risk management in line with Nedbank Group strategy.

    Job Responsibilities


    ‐ Support the achievement of the business strategy, objectives, and values by reviewing Nedbank and Business Unit Plan and ensuring delivered systems, processes; services and solutions are aligned.

    ‐ Contribute to business strategy and drive open actions to completion.

    ‐ Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g. culture manifesto, staff surveys etc).

    ‐ Seek opportunities and obtain buy-in for developing new and/or enhanced processes (e.g. operational processes) that will improve the functioning of stakeholders' businesses aligned to Markets strategy.

    ‐ Drive and track innovation (business process and system enhancements), along with specialist stakeholders for the business

    ‐ Ensure optimal operational capabilities on the trading floor by proactively managing the integration between the trading floor and the various system providers.

    ‐ Manage risks in Global Markets at targeted levels driven by internal and external regulatory requirements by monitoring and ensuring sustainable governance and compliance with policies and procedures and the various legislative requirements.

    ‐ Optimise cross divisional customer information and relationships through collaboration, formal and informal meetings, and open communication.

    ‐ Manage relationships with external service providers by ongoing engagement with key stakeholders primarily at senior and executive level.

    ‐ Support Markets budget by overseeing and ensuring effective management of key expense and revenue levers (including reviewing financial results).

    ‐ Oversee Markets onboarding and credit objectives for all relevant Markets clients or vendors.

    ‐ Ensure all personal development plan activities are completed within specified timeframe.

    ‐ Share knowledge, industry trends and contribute to skill share with team and stakeholders during formal and informal interaction.

    Essential Qualification - NQF Level


    Relevant Honours degree.

    Preferred Qualification


    MBA / CA / Finance / Economics / Comp Sci, CFA

    Preferred Certifications


    Relevant certificates in Treasury and Risk Management.

    Minimum Experience Level


    6 years Corporate and Investment Banking experience, preferably in Financial Markets and/or 6 to 10 years' banking/consulting experience in product, IT and operations
