Our client in the Steel Manufacturing industry is currently looking for a
Dog Handler, in Sandton.


Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for all K9's and kennels on site this includes cleaning up after the dogs as well as keep the kennels and water bowls clean.
  • Handle and operate the K9's in a safe and humane way.
  • Responsible to fill in own spot on the posting sheet and fill in OB entries when inspections are done.
  • Take daily walks with K9's on prescribed route and locations.
  • Inspect each K9 daily to check health and physical condition of the K9's.
  • Keep a safe distance of 5 meter between people.
  • Should never tie a Dog to any object.
  • Responsible to ensure the work done by the Dog Handlers are up to standard.
  • To do training with the K9's and Dog Handlers.
  • Advice when K9's need medicine.
  • To keep record of the K9's and weekly reports of the conditions of the K9's.
  • Provide management with weekly schedule that the Dog Handlers must follow when on duty.

Requirements:


  • Matric Certificate.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Dog Handler Certificate.
  • Good knowledge of K9 handling and care.
  • Up to date PSiRA Certificate.

Remuneration:


  • Up to R18 000 CTC per month.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
R15, R18,000.00 per month
