Description

Objective:

The
Associate Benefit Specialist is integral to our Total Rewards team, ensuring the effective administration of compensation and benefits programs and contributing to employee satisfaction and retention.


Responsibilities:


  • Respond to remuneration inquiries during the employee onboarding process and internal transitions.
  • Verify the accuracy of compensation and employee data.
  • Support the implementation of salary adjustments and coordinate with the payroll department.
  • Participate in annual Total Rewards operations, such as salary assessments, bonus distribution, and market salary comparisons.
  • Manage requests for specialized remuneration services following directives from the Total Rewards Center of Excellence (COE).
  • Prepare and distribute communications regarding updates to Total Rewards policies in collaboration with the Employee Engagement COE.
  • Conduct job evaluations, market benchmarking, and internal salary equity assessments periodically or upon request.

Qualifications:


  • A solid understanding of total rewards frameworks, HR and payroll systems
  • Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Selfdriven, capable of multitasking, and able to collaborate effectively within a team setting.
  • Detailoriented with a strong numerical aptitude.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and experienced with HRIS platforms like Workday.

Education & Experience:


  • A minimum of one year's experience in HR or Benefits Administration is preferred.
  • Matric is required; additional certification in a related field is desirable.

Salary:
R17 000,00 - R21 000,00 per month
