    The Role of Junior Desktop Publisher:

    We seek a Junior Desktop Publisher to join our Marketing Team on a full-time basis at our Ballito Office. This role focuses on creating and maintaining marketing and communication materials, with occasional support for SEO and website development projects. The ideal candidate will have design flair, exceptional attention to detail, and strong organisational skills.

    Main Responsibilities:

    1. Carry out desktop publishing tasks, including formatting and layout of marketing materials and client deliverables.
    2. Support online presence management (LinkedIn, Google My Business, etc.).
    3. Support newsletter production and distribution, and manage mailing lists.
    4. Provide occasional support for SEO campaigns and website content updates.
    5. Maintain media libraries and ensure adherence to client Non-Disclosure Agreements.
    6. Provide ad hoc support to internal communications, including policy updates and procedure documentation.

    Technical Requirements:

    1. Adobe Creative Suite: Proficiency in InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop for desktop publishing and graphic design.
    2. MS Office Suite: Strong skills in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
    3. Basic SEO knowledge and a willingness to develop further skills in this area.
    4. Familiarity with WordPress for updating content and assisting with web projects.
    5. Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., MailChimp, MailerLite, Substack).
    6. Basic understanding of Google Suite of Services and social media platforms such as LinkedIn.

    3. The ability to prioritise tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines.
    4. Some experience or background in desktop publishing and marketing.
    5. A proactive attitude and willingness to develop additional skills, particularly in SEO and web development.
