Purpose

Has overall responsibility for providing Supply Chain oversight for Flavours Operations in a medium to small site; leads the demand and supply planning, customer service and project management activities to secure that products can be manufactured and supplied on time to customers from existing manufacturing facilities with required product quality standards and at optimal production costs.

Core Responsibilities

Strategy design and execution

  • Provide key supply chain inputs to the Operations business plans and participate in the design of the regional Supply Chain strategy and definition of related objectives based on input provided by other functions, e.g. Commercial or Business Development.
  • Adapt and implements the regional supply chain strategy, and oversee the design and execution of related tactical and operational plans to meet regional and local Operations objectives.
Function management

  • Responsible for the execution of the developed strategies aligned with the business needs in order to reach and maintain the KPI ́s of each area under SCM following the best practices at the most cost effective process.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders in line with the company ́s strategy, targets and leadership principles.
  • Oversee the smooth execution of local demand and supply planning as well as inventory management,ensuring material availability while maintaining cost control and following best practices.
  • Collaborate in the Supply and Demand review of the S&OP cycle.
  • Place an active role in the development of the supply chain network.
  • Organize reliable, efficient and safe warehouse and shipping operations with strong focus on ontime execution (service), quality (customer and internal requirements) and cost (efficiency).
  • Ensure that the site complies to trade affairs regulations on import and export.
  • Select and manage in collaboration with IM&S customs brokers.
  • Responsible for the coordination of transportation along with regional transportation department.
  • Identify and Implement opportunities for Improvement.
  • Act exemplary in terms of behavioural safety and keep expectations high with respect to safety targets.
  • Support EHS initiatives and facilitate their implementation
  • Executes the annual operating plan within approved budget.
People management

  • Oversee the execution of annual human resources processes within the local Supply Chain and Planning team(s) and validate related results.
  • Work with the local Operations and regional Supply Chain management, as well as HR Business Partner(s),in recruiting and developing a local talent pipeline.
  • Develop and promote local Supply Chain & Planning talents within and outside Operations at local and regional level.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or related discipline.
MBA or Master's Degree in a Technical field is preferred.

7 to 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations with strong background in supply chain planning ,quality and/or materials management, including exposure to organizational change, operational restructuring, business process redesign, systems implementations, enterprise risk for complex organizations.

2 to 5 years of progressive experience in people management.
Good understanding of the main processes in operations and supply chain and main metrics to measure the performance(APICS CPIM).
Excellent knowledge of Givaudan Planning solutions in SAP and beyond.
Comfort in dealing with change, numbers, processes and personalities.
Comfort in travelling to support global and regional projects.
