Job Description for a Healthcare Professional at Complete Healthcare Services

About the Role

The successful candidate will work one-on-one with patients in their homes or facilities, providing essential care and support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide basic care, including assistance with personal hygiene, such as washing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting.
• Administer medications under the supervision of a registered nurse or family member.
• Document patient condition and progress.
• Support and assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Monitor vital signs and record.
• Perform basic wound care.
• Manage feeds for tracheostomy babies using a feeding pump.

Patient Types:

• Adults and children with tracheostomies connected to ventilators.
• Elderly patients with a focus on dementia and Alzheimer's care.
• Quadriplegic patients with PEG tubes.
• Palliative patients nearing end-of-life care.

Desirable Skills:

• A strong understanding of treatment plans set by other team members (doctor, NSM, or physiotherapist).
• Good communication skills with supervisors, colleagues, patients, and family members.
• Knowledge of emergency situations involving patients at home.
• Geriatric care, paediatric care, dementia care, post-stroke care, ventilation care.
• Catheter care (indwelling, supra pubic, intermittent).
• Prevention of pressure sores in bedridden patients.
• Trachea care (experience working with tracheostomy patients or units).
• Suctioning of trachea patients.
• Prevention of infection in all patients.

Requirements:

• Diploma as a qualified Enrolled Nurse.
