    Description
    Minimum Requirements
    • Matric
    • Must be qualified and hold a Trade Certificate: Diesel Mechanic/Earth Moving Mechanic.
    • 3 years of experience in opencast mining, construction, and earthworks.
    • Essential: Own vehicle and valid Drivers License.
    • Willingness to travel between sites.
    Roles and Responsibilities:
    • Ensure that the appropriate pre-start checklists are completed by the designated operator on a daily basis.
    • Enforce compliance with the relevant maintenance procedures.
    • Perform daily equipment availability monitoring.
    • Conduct necessary servicing for the respective plant components.
    • Analyse issues based on electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
    • Reduce plant downtime and handle downtime situations with a high degree of urgency.
    • Guarantee adherence to the Company's preventative maintenance systems.
    • Identify and rectify machine faults.
