Description

The Business Development Lead role has interaction at senior levels of the organization, and is responsible for overseeing the continuous pursuit of growth opportunities across the EY Microsoft domain.

They should be familiar with current industry trends and economic news and have the ability to use this information to identify opportunities at existing and new clients across the D365 CE, D365 F&O and Power platforms.

They should also have in-depth knowledge of the EY D365 CE, F&O and Power Platform capabilities and accelerators and have the ability to use this information to collaborate with clients and strategic partners, and to spearhead initiatives focused on attracting new clients and retaining existing ones.


Collaborating closely with IT resources, Project Managers, and business resources, the Business Development Lead identifies opportunities, appropriately qualifies them, and works with the technical pre-sales team to secure new and additional project opportunities.


Responsibilities:

T The key responsibilities of the Business Development Lead include:

  • Understanding and being competent in a full range of techniques for eliciting business requirements and demonstrate exceptional ability to select and utilize most effective approach for each opportunity.
  • Identify and engage with potential customers and business partners through direct meetings while leveraging existing relationships and building new relationships with strategic partners and individuals;
  • Support analysis and targeting of sales efforts through customer segmentation and profiling;
  • Represent EY in various forums (e.g., conferences, symposiums, customer visits) and impart detailed information about EY technology capabilities;
  • Creating targeted segmentation schemes to focus sales efforts.
  • Managing the existing Microsoft sales pipeline in conjunction with domain leads as well as developing new business opportunities.
  • Lead the creation of newbusiness proposals and presentations that create and nurture opportunities and partnerships and showcases EY's value proposition.
  • Preparing all documentation required for requests for proposals (RFPs).
  • Use EY and industry data to identify trends and customer needs, and to build and secure a sales pipeline focused on meeting short/medium/long term domain targets
  • Developing solution strategies
  • Support marketing stakeholders in the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies
  • Motivate the team, track performance, and report metrics

E Essential Skills, Expertise and Experience

  • 15 + years' local and global experience in the areas of sales, development, project management, and technical business analysis and design in Microsoft domain.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong consulting skills with large experience professionals (customers).
  • Strong customer focus and management of client expectations; ability to establish and maintain a high level of trust and confidence in the group
  • Excellent understanding of the D365 CE, D365 F&O and Power platforms
  • Expert level experience with business requirements gathering techniques and analysis
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience in reviewing and completing RFP's
  • Honours degree in IT, Finance or Business Administration. Master's degree is advantageous.
  • Proven business development, sales, or marketing experience.
  • Excellent analytical, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Detailoriented and persuasive.
  • Ability to travel as required
  • May be required to work outside normal business hours to meet project deadlines or support implementations
