Crane Technician required for a position in Germiston.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Demag Crane Technician to join our clients team.

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Crane Technician / Millwright.
Red Seal certification
Extensive knowledge of Demag cranes.
Proficient in PLC programming for crane systems.
Comfortable working at heights and in various environmental conditions.
Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
Excellent understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
Proven experience in conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills and the ability to document maintenance activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on cranes to ensure optimal functionality.
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical issues in cranes.
Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Utilize PLC programming skills to enhance and optimize crane performance.
Work collaboratively with other technicians and maintenance personnel to address complex issues.
Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and provide effective solutions.
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and implement efficient maintenance strategies.
