Daily Responsibilities:
South Africa


  • Develop, grow and maintain strategic longterm relationships with key health and beauty retail partners.
  • Prepare the sales and distribution strategy and budget to support the business's longterm and shortterm objectives to maintain and grow market share.
  • Agree on this strategy with various stakeholders and senior management and implement it within agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Negotiate and agree on key trading terms with retail partners per the distribution strategy.
  • Assess market and customer trends to inform ongoing strategy and product development.
  • Work with the Marketing team to develop plans for trade / local store marketing and implement thereon through collaboration with the relevant teams and trade partners.
  • Ensure consistency of product marketing through all channels.
  • Plan and implement new product launches through key retail channels.
  • Manage instore and online promotional plans, content creation and implementation.
  • Ensure consistency of corporate image through all instore sales and marketing materials.
  • Work with Supply Chain and Product Development teams to develop and recommend product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible longterm market share.
  • Plan and manage sales budgets, track and report monthly on spend and key sales KPIs.
  • Conduct regular market research (qualitative and quantitative), incorporating international trends, to gain insight into consumer buying habits and purchase intent.
  • Assess competitor products and instore activities to better understand the environment.

Responsibilities UK:


  • Prepare UK retail sales and distribution strategy and budget to support the business's longterm and shortterm objectives.
  • Agree on this strategy with various stakeholders and senior management.
  • Manage the sales and distribution partners in the UK to ensure delivery of the channel strategy.
  • Set KPIs for the sales and distribution partners in the UK to ensure delivery as per commercial arrangement.
  • Plan and manage the implementation of product launches through key retail channels.
  • Work with Supply Chain and Product Development teams to develop and recommend product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible longterm market share.
  • Plan and manage sales budgets, track and report monthly on spend and key sales KPIs.
  • Conduct regular market research (qualitative and quantitative), incorporating international trends, to gain insight into consumer buying habits and purchase intent.

Position requirements:


  • A minimum, a Bachelor's degree with 10+ years experience in sales and key account management in the South African health and beauty channel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills, and experience with CRM software and the Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on superior Excel skills
