Description
TheMaintenance Artisan is responsible for maintenance and repairs of machinery and related equipment at the Manufacturing Plant site. As well as the Execution of assigned routine maintenance as directed by maintenance foreman.
The Maintenance Artisan will provide support operations by providing effective equipment maintenance ensuring equipment reliability and availability, including:
- Preventative Maintenance factory and buildings
- Breakdown Maintenance fault finding/ trouble shooting on machines (electrical and mechanical)
- Support production and engineering project and equipment modification (electrical and mechanical)
- Maintenance administration
Preventative Maintenance
- Daily conducts and records assigned preventative maintenance checks
- Tests operation of hydraulic, pneumatic and/or mechanical as well as basic electrical devices to evaluate, identify and resolve operating problems
- Conducts assigned planned preventative maintenance task to required standard and timeframes
- Perform assigned general factory maintenance as required.
- Oversee third party contractor maintenance as directed
Breakdown Maintenance
- Responds immediately to equipmentrelated problems and installs, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs across all equipment in the business area to ensure mínimal downtime
- Responds immediately to equipment break downs and problem in accordance with safety regulations, instruction and quality standards to ensure mínimal equipment downtime
- Conduct fault finding on equipment and capture improvements using root cause failure analysis
- Dismantles equipment and machinery to identify, remove, repair and/or replace damaged or deteriorated components and reassembles appropriately
Production and engineering support
- Conducts product change and machine set up within standard changeover and setup times
- Conducts assigned projects tasks as directed by maintenance foreman
Maintenance Administration
- Maintains maintenance logs and work order documentation on equipment inspection and repairs
- Maintains an organised, clean and safe work area
- Management of maintenance spares, tools and equipment
Requirements:
- Minimum N3 with Fitter and Turner Trade Test Certificate
- Drivers License, own vehicle
- Excellent time management and the ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a highpressure environment.
- Good verbal and written communications
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem solving ability.
- Proven technical knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic machinery
- Collaborate across a team and must be willing to learn and share skills with fellow technicians
- Ability to work on own initiative without close supervision.
- Knowledge of electrical, electronics and control system is preferable
- Motivated and selfstarter
45 hours per week, working from 07:00 to 16:30; although flexibility in working hours is a requirement and you can expect that additional hours and assistance with evening and weekend work will be required (as much notice as practically possible will be provided).
