    Job Title: Financial Controller

    About the Role:

    We are seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Act as a strategic business partner to various departments and stakeholders.
    • Prepare and distribute monthly management reports, analyzing results, variances, profitability, overheads, and inventory valuations.
    • Review and implement new controlling standard operating procedures (SOPs).
    • Lead the finance team, manage debtors, creditors, and bookkeeping.
    • Oversee inventory management in collaboration with operations.
    • Maintain and upgrade IT infrastructure.
    • Compile accurate monthly financial accounts for the business.
    • E nsure adherence to financial close procedures, including account reconciliations and full review of profit and loss accounts.
    • Maintain processes and procedures for efficient and effective management of operations, including billing and debtor management.
    • Collaborate with corporate functions to align with group standards.
    • Complete accurate monthly forward forecasting.
    • Manage and oversee the budget process in line with corporate timelines and requirements.
    • Ensure timely completion of the annual financial audit process.
    • Prepare and control the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes.

    Requirements:

    • Strong financial and analytical skills.
    • Strategic planning experience.
    • Ability to calculate and interpret financial trends.
    • Sound knowledge of professional accountancy practices.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Leadership and team management experience.
    • Sound internal and external client relations.
    • Accurate compilation of relevant financial data and statistics.
    • Familiarity with company products, markets, and competitors.
    • Ability to multitask and perform under pressure with tight deadlines.

    Qualifications:

    • Professional accountancy qualification (e.g., CA(SA) or equivalent).
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in a finance management environment.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel.
    • A valid driver's license and personal transport.
